Specialty Roast Integration

Specialty Roast Coffee's mission is to do good with better coffee. We donate to a charity you choose when you buy our coffee. We can co-brand your coffee creating your own private label, showcasing your corporate social responsibility. We offer coffees benefitting over 350 national and local charities including:

Fund Raising for Non-Profits
We encourage entrepreneurially-minded non-profits to put a link on their website to our ordering page and to talk about our coffee in newsletters and emails. This is a 'bottom of the pyramid' fund raising opportunity. Our average household that uses our convenient Coffee Club generates $48 in annual, tax deductible contributions. Integration for Corporate and Retail Websites 
Specialty Roast offers a convenient way for your company to integrate ordering of our fresh-roasted coffee into your own ordering systems. Our web-standard solution supports any website (commerce or basic) or other electronic ordering systems, e.g. CRMs, accounting systems, etc. Your coffee is branded with your label and message. This means that catalog merchants can offer fresh-roasted coffee to their customers on their own web sites, and we drop ship! The server integration handles the order and the billing.

Who Would Use This?

1. Sales Professionals sending 'thank yous' can use this system through a variety of user interfaces ranging from a basic CRM to a full-blown e-commerce website. For example, they can send a “thank you” gift of co-branded coffee benefiting specific causes. After a sales call, using their CRM or other interface, a sales professional can pull-up a recipient record, select a ‘coffee gift’ option (a simple button added by your IT staff), fill-in the text greeting and push ‘Send.’ Specialty Roast immediately receives the order, completes the gift message on the gift card and ships the fresh-roasted coffee on the spot.

2. Catalog Merchant can sell fresh-roasted coffee on its website under its own name. Customers place orders and are billed through the Catalog’s payment system. Orders placed there automatically flow into our system for drop-shipment. We complete and ship the order for you.

3. Non-Profit can sell items on their websites. The cause does not want supporters ‘leaving’ its website to order coffee. The non-profit creates a very simple ordering page on its website. Supporters order the fresh-roasted cause-branded coffee and pay. Orders placed there automatically flow into our system for drop-shipment. We complete and ship the order for you.

How It’s Done

We have written a special application called an API (Application Programming Interface) that acts as a 'pipe' between your ordering system to our secure ordering servers. Our API protocol uses XML, the most common language used for web-service applications on the internet. Basically, as users initiate orders in your system, our API makes it possible to automatically translate those same orders in our system. And your customers stay on your site!


Additionally, we will work with your decision-makers to simplify choices such as which charity to support, the design of the labels, billing method, and choice of coffee to send. These options will be ‘preloaded’ into our system and processed when your orders arrive. The result is an automated order system that assures productivity, as well as accuracy in order tracking, reporting and billing.
